Witches and more witches!

I am full swing into making witches and having a blast doing them.  Some of the best I think I have ever sculpted. Most are paper clay scupted  busts on pedestals.  All of these have been sold.

New work

Well, it's almost the end of august and I haven't added some of my newest pieces.  I am continuing do somethings that I have wanted to for a  long time and having fun doing them. The monster was part carved wood and sculpt and my very first monster. I am very proud of my newest shoe too. I love doing these gigantic wooden shoes.  they are so labor intensive though I can't afford to do them often. Thank you so much for dropping by!

Last one...I promise!

I don't know how I forgot these fun little guys.  I was experimenting and trying to get more realistic expressions and this is what I came up with.  Every time I look at them I laugh which is what it is all about!!!  These are buffalo or coyote gourds, hand painted by me.

Forgot the pumpkin stack!

This is a piece I am particularly proud of. I call it a totem and the pumpkins are double sided with faces so it each one can be turned to make different combinations. It is so much fun to spin the little pumpkins!  It is made  3 gourds and a heavy wooden ball at the base sculpted into a pumpkin. I hope to do more of these sometime. Thanks for stopping by!

Latest work!

I have neglected my blog and need to update it with a few of the pieces I have done recently.  I have been selling from the EHAG Emporium marketplace as well as PFATT marketplace (links on Right). I also have been doing a lot of commissions and some sales on Facebook.  Right now I am not accepting commissions and taking the time to do things I have wanted too for a long time. I have been in an owl mood lately and after studying owl anatomy I have made good use of it and made some fun pieces using owls. i haven't even begun to sculpt all of my ideas yet so please stay tuned.  I really appreciate each and everyone of you who come by to share my art with me :)

Mama pumpkin

I recently completed a fun sculpture of a Mama Jack o' Lantern and her babies (pumpkin seeds). They are sculpted from paper clay over gourds. I had an incredible experience with one of the babies. I had gone outside to take pictures and left them on a table to go get my camera. Just as I was going to go out the door a mama robin flew up and picked up a piece of moss and flew off.  Seconds later the male flew up and took off with one of the baby pumpkins!  It was funny but kind of heart breaking as well.  hours of sculpting and painting go into each one.  He is now officially the adopted brother. These were featured in the March EHAG Emporium and are sold.  Thank you for stopping by!

EHAG update

Tonight at 9 PM Eastern time is the monthly update of the EHAG Marketplace (Eclectic Halloween artist guild)  There promises to be some great Halloween art available this month too. If you have never checked it out before I really encourage you to. My offering this month is one of my favorite things to paint. Moons!  7 little moon gourds and  paper clay star are nestled in a vintage wooden bowl. Vintage orange tinsel makes up their nest. These are very small gourds ( 1 1/2" across) and a re very difficult to find. The bowl itself is 6" across. I have hand painted each little moon using vintage Halloween postcards for inspiration.  Each one is a one of a kind original.  I have poured hours of painting into each one but think of it as a labor of love.  I am asking $110.00 for them and offer free shipping.  Instead of the bowl, I can put ribbon hangers on them so they can be hung from a small tree. Perfect for a feather tree! As always, thank you for stopping by and sharing my art with me. The link to Ehag is:http://ehagemporium.blogspot.com/

Happy Valentines Day

Valentines day will soon be upon us and I am posting a few of the cookies I did in the past. These were completely made from paper clay! Also a sweet Valentine Queen from years ago. I am in the process of creating a Mr. Foxy piece for a commission.  Speaking of commissions, this would be the time I might be able to take requests. I am limited by time but  sometimes I can fulfill a commission.  I can be reached at the email link on the side.  Thank you for sharing my work with me!

Christmas time!

We are into the new year and I realized I did not post pictures of my Christmas creations. Hope yours was merry and bright!  First is a group Santa ornaments I did and a Santa with carved wooden birds perched on his hat. The third picture is a roly poly Santa ornament. Very tiny details as he is only 4" tall but fun to do. The last two are snowman ornaments. Love the colors and the soft blue is a favorite. Thank you for stopping by! Be sure to check out my Pinterest page (link on right) for more pictures of my work. Always happy to hear from people too!
